Custom Boards aka kanban look

Possibility to create boards based on fields (status, tags, folders, context, assignee,...) and display your tasks with custom fields (you can select which fields of the tasks to see) then you can rearange in drag & drop and get to the detail of each task. Basically a bit the way you do in Kanban. GTD is great but when you need to reorganize your tasks or give a visibility to the team a kanban way view is just what you need. Basically all the features are there already but not visual and you have to change the value of the fields with the drop downs.

A simple kanban look of the tasks to begin with could already be great : just the classical "todo (, in progress), done" or "star" or "not star" could use the already existing fields. Could later be added filtering on "folder". And maybe later as candyghost suggested more filtering option. Just a begin could already be usefull, and later upgrading progressively with more filter options.

I would find this useful, even if it begins with one field for column names (status or a new one). Values of the field could be changed by drag & drop.

I came to the Feature Requests specifically to request a Kanban board so I'm glad to see others wanting the same. I agree with neillachapelle in that this is my biggest issue with Toodledo and others like it. Toodledo has a number of very good features for tasks, but I want to be able to prioritize and use a Kanban system with my wife for things we need to do individually and together (and would be willing to pay for at the $2.99 per month level) and furthermore, have possibly have it integrate with our Google calendars. Without this feature, I find myself adding tasks in Toodledo once every few months and then not using it for months. The Kanban feature to move things in from the backlog, arrange by priority, and then complete in the Kanban board would make me a paid subscriber again. Integrations with Google and others could follow later, but I really need Kanban to make this truly useful for us.

Lack of a Kansan view is my main problem using this and all other folders-and-lists systems. Toggling between the two views would be a superpower.

I agree. I did some research trying to overlap Kanban on top of Toodledo but with no luck. It would be great to have Kanban-like visualization on top of our tasks with possibility to rearrange them.
