Separating the completion check box and the Star columns to avoid inadvertent checking off an item

Using Windows 10 and Chrome Browser the completion check box and the Star are rigth next to each other, when trying to star an item, it is easy to inadvertently click the completion check box and the item disappears. One feature request is separate the completion check box and the star further away or by the pull down menu column, or allow for customizing where these columns are to be placed (thought this was the case in the past).
