The "current week" list

There are some lists in the "Dates" selection, like "Due tomorrow", "Next seven days", etc. But it would be very useful to have the "Current week" there.
This means a list of tasks with due dates during the current week only, not 7 days+. E.g. if today is Tuesday then the list will include all tasks with due dates from today to the Sunday. If today is Saturday, then only Saturday and Sunday are included.

This would be great. This is how RTM works. It would also be great to break down "Due in the next 7 days" into days rather than lumping them altogether. I also like this about RTM. So if it was Monday it would show Today, Tomorrow, Wednesday, Thursday, etc. If it was Tuesday, it would show Today, Tomorrow, Thursday, Friday, etc.

It would also be good to have the "Current Week" have the option to populate on Start Date and/or Due Date

And while you're at it, please add a "Yesterday" option to it.
Ideally I'd like to have "yesterday" listed as one of the due dates, like "tomorrow", "next 7 days" etc. But that may be too involved, so please at least make it a variable in searches, so I can have a saved search that will always show me all tasks that were due yesterday.

Yes. Although this should allow flexibility in settings so that users can specify what their week is since not everyone will want Mon–Sun.
Also, related, there should be a "Next Week" view. So on, say, Tuesday I could view a list that shows me all the tasks I will have due in the
following
Mon–Sun period.
